Build stronger relationships

Overview:

While we all have an inborn ability to feel empathy, it is also a skill that can be improved on. The OFNR process — Observations, Feelings, Needs, and Requests — is a method in nonviolent communication that is designed to do just that. In the workplace, OFNR can be used to help us connect more effectively with others and thus accelerate teamwork. Observing situations and understanding others’ feelings and needs is key to forming appropriate strategies for meeting the needs of everyone involved.

We often forget to congratulate staff members. Nevertheless, positive recognition is essential to give people fresh energy, take stock and capitalise on assets. But beware: though it may seem simple at first glance, praise should meet certain conditions in order to be fruitful.

This course will teach you the best time to call someone in to give them praise and suggests practical ways of helping them achieve their goals. An objective of this course is to develop your knowledge and application of connection and how establishing connections with your colleagues builds trust and healthy working relations. Connecting with your people also benefits productivity and motivation levels. There are so many perks which the course will outline and you can take away new skills which you can put into practise in your organisation.

On completion of this course, you will have a greater understanding of:
